Marie Williams McNeal

Marie Williams McNeal was born on January 13, 1948, and went home to Heaven on July 8, 2025, at the age of 77 years old. While we are so very sad and our hearts are hurting, we can’t help but celebrate that she is now singing praises to our Savior with her beautiful, clear voice. She is no longer in pain, her myriad of health issues are gone, and her body has been brought into perfection! Her number one wish upon her passing was that God’s plan of Salvation be spoken to all that her death touches. In Romans 3:23, the Bible states that “ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” And in Romans 6:23, it is explained that because we have sinned, our punishment is death with eternity in Hell, but it goes on to say, “but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Eternity in Heaven! How do we know this? Because, “God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. Romans 10:9 emphasizes that if you declare “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Then you will have the exact same assurance Marie had, that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Williams and Jeanette Williams Norris, and her sister, Judy Whittington (Ricky). Marie leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Thomas McNeal. Mom leaves behind her children, Tommy McNeal (Linda) and Stacey Perdue (Kevin). Nanny leaves behind her grandchildren, Mattie McNeal, Mei Lin McNeal, Tally Perdue, Geoffrey Perdue, and Jemma Perdue. She also leaves behind her siblings, Faye Goossens (Wilfried), Kenny Williams (Elizabeth), and Barbara Cline (Wayne), many other extended family, church family, and those she claimed as family, whom she loved so very dearly. There will be a Celebration of her Life held at Camellia Baptist Church on Sunday, July 13, 2025. There will be a time to visit with the family before from 1:00-2:00 PM with the Celebration Service beginning at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camellia Baptist Church to further her mission of telling all she could about God’s plan of Salvation. Pallbearers will be Patrick Hester, Doug McNeal, Joe McNeal, Chris Morgan, Andy Pond, Blake Turner.
