She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Cannady and Stephanie Gillespie (Bill, Jr.); special daughter, Marilyn Richard; four grandchildren, David Creamer, Kelli Creamer, Bobby Gillespie (Jennifer) and Kendall Gillespie; three great-grandchildren, Lucy, Grady and Milly; one sister, Dian Paul; one brother, Buddy Paul; numerous extended family; many friends and caretaker, Susie Drayton. Pallbearers will Buddy Paul, Brent Lucas, Ritchie Luckie, Tommy Newton, Bill Henson and Reid Cavnar. Sylvia's love and pride of her family was well known. From the eldest to the youngest. She was quick to let you know the accomplishments of her family. Not in an arrogant way but in a joyful, sweet Sylvia way. Sylvia was involved in many service and social orginazations over the years. NCO Wives Club, Brownie and Girl Scout Troop leader, Spinners, Yaupon Garden Club, Estudie Study Club, American Heart Association, the Travellots and retired Senior Volunteer Programs just to name a few. One of her greatest joys was sharing her love of the Presbyterian Church and flowers with children. She started the Drangonfly Garden Club at the Prattville Intermediate School. One of their yearly projects was making Christmas ornaments to hang on the city Christmas tree. She also spent many summers planning and volunteering at the Presbyterian Vacation Bible School. Sylvia truly had a servant's heart. Flowers are appreciated or memorial donations may be made in her honor to American Heart Association and/or Prattville Autauga Humane Society.
