Sis was a loving mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend. She loved to walk downtown Prattville, her hometown, with her little dog, Joe. She would look at all the storefronts and think back to the 1950-60s when she was a little girl back then how things use to be. Sis loved the small town of Prattville, her home. She had a love for all kinds of animals and would always care for them and if needed nurture them back to health, especially when the kids or grandkids would bring home. She loved to just sit on her back porch and watch the world around her. You may find her watching grandkids in the pool or yard or just sitting in quiet drinking coffee by herself or with friends and family. Never enough words to describe Our Sweet Sis, she was a very humble, patient, loving person. One of the things she would tell us was One Day at a Time and to be patient things will come when time, from the smallest to the biggest thing. Sis was a good listener and caretaker to all who needed help, she also had a way with words, she would write poems to all her Grandchildren every year on their birthdays, Sis would do anything for her grandbabies as she called them no matter their age. So many sweet memories that will forever be in our hearts. We will remember her when we see a red bird which she loved and we know she's with Jesus which gives us comfort. Flowers will be accepted or donations made to Children’s Hospital of Birmingham or Batten Disease Support and Research Association.
