Marthan "Ann" Cowart

November 24, 1936 - February 16, 2021

COWART, Marthan “Ann”, 84, resident of Prattville for 56 years, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Baptist South Hospital, Montgomery. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Prattville Memory Gardens at 3:00 pm with Speaker Taylor Stein officiating and Prattville Memorial directing. Ann was born on November 24, 1936 in Atlanta, GA. She was primarily a homemaker but formerly employed at AUGAT/National Industries of Montgomery, AL. She loved to paint and enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Her favorite color was blue. She proudly got her GED at age of 55, the oldest person in her class to accomplish this and a role model for others in her life. Mrs. Cowart was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Minnie Womack; son, Cecil Cowart, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Cecil Cowart, Sr.; one daughter, Tambra “Tammy” Prince (David); one son, James R. Cowart (Patty Bienna); two grandchildren, Jeremy Cowart (Kayla Cantney) and Robert Cowart; one great-granddaughter, Khloe Cowart “Khloebug”; extended family and friends. The family requests that everyone please wear a mask.
