Jewel Faye Thorn

March 7, 1951 - July 28, 2021

THORN, Jewel Faye, 70, born on March 7, 1951, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, surrounded by family. She was known by those closest to her as JFaye, Faye Baby and her favorite name Great-Great. She had the biggest heart, the most giving spirit and all done with the sweetest smile. She was a hard worker and dedicated the past 40 years to JR Smith Manufacturing, as a Systems Database Administrator and loved her work family as her own. Ms. Thorn was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jewel Johnson and William Henry Thorn; two sisters, Mary Ruth and Marie; five brothers, Billy, Freddy, Richard, Tommy and Danny. She is survived by three sisters, Sarah Merle Stockli, Shirley Wachtel (John), Kaye “Boo” Thorn; one brother, Truman Thorn (Helen); many nieces and nephews who she adored including her namesakes, Bailee Faye Freeman and Sarah Jewel Williams; extended family and friends. Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 11:00 am from Prattville Memory Gardens with Pastor Shane Segars and Prattville Memorial directing. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Blake Freeman, Hamp Freeman, Gavin Stockli, Raymond Thebo, Jacob Williams and Anthony Thorn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Willis, Bo Perry, Phil Walp - JR Smith Manufacturing.
