JACK EDWARD MEEKS (Button), 64, resident of Deatsville Alabama and Tyler Texas passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Level United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Prattville Memorial Chapel from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. Jack was a loving son, brother, uncle, great uncle and cousin. Jack was the light of the family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Britton Meeks and Nadine Meeks Litaker, two brothers James Ronald “Ronnie” Meeks and James Howard Meeks. Jack is survived by two sisters, Margaret Ann (John) Moss, Peggy Sue (Allan) Hall. Nephews Richie (Kelly) Moss, Eric Che’ Martin, Britt Meeks. Nieces Sandie (Todd) Rauschenberger, Shannon (Franky) Nelson. Great nieces and nephews, J B, Morgan, Seth, and Avery Moss, Cory (Stephanie) Rauschenberger, Nicole (Jerod) Findley, Megan (Phillip) Sellers, Blake, Jared and Kristin Nelson, Devon, Alison, and Cason Meeks. Extended family, Anna Higginbotham, Brad (Candace) Higginbotham, John Nelson, Jarod, Emmy and Wesley Moss, Jennifer (Jimmy) Hollon, Larry (Renee) Hall, Summer (Zane) Broadhead, Landon (Alysia) Hall, Emily Newton, Addyson, Caroline and Alivia Findley, Timmer Herman, Adalynn Sellers, Lilly Ann Rauschenberger and a host of other family and many friends that loved him so very much. In Lieu of Flowers the family is requesting donations be made to The National Down Syndrome Society www.ndss.org or American Kidney Foundation www.kidneyfund.org. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and care givers that helped with Jack over the years.
