Evelyn Bradford

April 12, 1933 - May 20, 2022

Evelyn Bradford, 89, of Prattville, Alabama passed away with her family by her side on Friday morning May 20, 2022. Evelyn was born April 12, 1933, to Leon and Zula Jones. After high school, she married Charles Bradford II. She traveled the world as a military wife and while being a fierce mother to Nick, Sunny, and Ronnie. After raising her children, she graduated with a bachelor’s of science and began a long career at Maxwell Air Force Base. She later married the love of her life, Lawrence S. McReynolds (Mac), they shared the love of being outdoors, fishing, fixing up their rental properties and at the end of the day she enjoyed getting her nightly foot rubs by Mac. She loved her friends and family. She enjoyed cooking and welcomed everyone to her table. She made the BEST cornbread and vegetable soup. She enjoyed being outside picking pecans, figs from her trees, and watching the hummingbirds. She would get so excited when her grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit. They would paint her toes, curl her hair, and tell her stories to make her laugh. Later in life she was reunited with her grandson Shawn and enjoyed getting to know him. She loved cross word puzzles, eating breakfast with Pat at Waffle House, going to the casino, and playing Solitaire at night before she went to bed. She LOVED her naps!! The last months of her life she spent living at an assisted living home in Fredericksburg, Texas near her son Nick. She enjoyed taking rides out to his Ranch to feed the deer and feed watermelon to his Wolfs pups. She was a member of Frazier Church in Alabama She is reunited with her parents Leon and Zula Jones, her husband Mac, her children Sunny and Ronnie, grandson Niko, and great granddaughter Finleigh. Survivors include her son; Nick, Grandchildren; Nicole, Shawn, Sara, Rachel, and Ryan, Great grandchildren; Trinity, Hayden, Maya, Audrey, Evelyn, Tyler, Frank, Jonah, Knox, Ryleigh, Rebecka, Hadley, Olivia, Dawson, Bradley and Carleigh and dear friends. Visitation will be at Prattville Memorial Chapel & Memory Gardens on June 11th at 11:00am followed by graveside service.
