Betty married Fred on September 8, 1962, at the Fairview United Methodist Church, Old Selma Road, Montgomery, Alabama. As Fred and Betty began their life together and later started their family, their love for each other was evident to all who knew them. And during almost 60 years together they have made many friends all over the world. They have made homes in Alabama, Florida, Washington, Texas, and Europe. For both of them life has been an adventure punctuated by grand memories of family and friends along the way. Betty Loved her family and friends, she loved her Church, she had a deep fondness for animals and gardening. Flowers are abundant around her home and many date from her own mother’s garden. Betty loved celebrations, holidays, birthdays, family reunions and she was the consummate hostess. All were an opportunity for family and friends to gather and share in her life. A Celebration of Her Life service is scheduled for 11:00am Saturday April 9, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church in Prattville Alabama, with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall immediately after the service. Dr. Tony McCullough will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Betty's life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to First United Methodist Church of Prattville.
