Betty Lucille Stafford Curlee

Curlee, Betty Lucille Stafford, 88, a long-time resident of Deatsville, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord, May 30, 2022. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Joseph Curlee; her infant son, Frank; her parents, Carey and Lillie Mae Stafford; and her sister, Phyliss Smith. Survivors include son, Joseph “Buddy” Curlee Jr. (Elizabeth); son, John Curlee; two grand-daughters, Nicole and Alyssa Curlee; three sisters, Jean Kutner (Sam), Jo’An Repass (Earl), Claudia Cottie(Bob) and a host of nephews and nieces. Betty was born and later married in Jacksonville Florida. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Prattville Alabama to start a business and a family. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a Christian witness to all who knew her. A special thanks to two loving caregivers: Valerie Pickett and Dianne Palmer. Visitation will be at 10:00 followed by graveside service at 11:00 held at Prattville Memorial Chapel and Memory Gardens on Friday, June 3, 2022 with Reverend Chris McCain officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Joy Burt, Jimmy Gayle Flavell, Louie and Patty Hubert, Steve Burton, and Frank Lamar. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Alabama Kidney Foundation of Montgomery, 441 High Street, Montgomery, AL 36104.
