Robert "Robbey" Connell Killough

KILLOUGH, Robert “Robbey” Connell, 25, resident of Prattville, AL passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Prattville Memorial Chapel with Christopher Dennis and Jordan Countryman officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday at Prattville Memorial from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Robbey was a 2016 graduate of Prattville High School. He had an exceptional wrestling career while at PHS garnering numerous accolades including two individual state championships and was voted Most Outstanding Wrestler his senior season for the 7A Alabama High School Athletic Association. He also set school records and remains the leader in total wins and falls. In addition to his outstanding years and achievements in wrestling, Robbey received a level 8 state championship in gymnastics. Robbey enlisted in the Air Force and served as a Biomedical Equipment Technician at Maxwell AFB for four years. He obtained secret clearance status which made him highly recruited by Solution One Industries located on Hurlburt Field AFB where he was able to travel and perform his trade. Robbey exuded many outstanding qualities. He had a peaceful spirit with a huge heart. Robbey has always been kind, considerate, and very loving. He treated others with respect, humility, and grace. He was admired by the way he always listened intently making others feel special and loved. He had a genuine interest in helping people and was a loyal friend. Robbey loved his family and friends immensely. In addition to these attributes, Robbey was highly intelligent and modest, though at times, he could be opinionated and sarcastic. He enjoyed a good laugh!! He was just beginning to find his own path and was enthusiastic about his future adventures. There will always be a place for him deep in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his brother, Justin Heath Killough; paternal grandfather, Marvin K. Killough; and his maternal grandparents, Col. Robert and Alma Salzarulo. He is survived by his father, Bruce Connell Killough; his mother, Robin Salzarulo Nelson (Charles Milton Nelson); brother, Jordan Seth Killough (Nolan Craig Killough); sister, Lauren Brooke Stump (Corey James Stump); niece, Isla Jane Stump; paternal grandmother, Brenda Killough; and numerous extended family members and many friends.
