Rebecca "Becky" Ann Webster Robinson

ROBINSON, Rebecca “Becky” Ann Webster, 83, of Prattville, AL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends in the morning hours of October 12, 2024. Becky was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas “Tommy” Murray Robinson; parents Willard Braxton and Flora Addine Oaks Webster; granddaughter Christy Lea Register Jackson, granddaughter-in-law Julia Price Chester, and great-grandson Benjamin Cade Chester. She was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law Jimmy Robinson, Terry Thomason, and Douglas Johnson. Gratefully cherishing sweet memories of Mama, Granny, Sister, and Aunt are her beloved family: her daughters Cindy Chester (Randy) of Florence, AL, Cathy Kemmerer (Kyle) of Wetumpka, AL, and Cheryl Talbot (Jeff) of Florence, AL; her sister Betty Webster Johnson of Jacksonville Beach, FL; her brothers-in-law Richard Robinson (Diane), sisters-in-law Betsy Robinson, Noel Thomason, Jean Johns (Buddy); her grandchildren, Casey Chester Wilburn (Josh), Ben Chester (Hannah), Matt Siniard, Tiffany Siniard Pierce (Todd), Mitchell Talbot (Maria), Mahlon Talbot (Claudia); her great-grandchildren, Ella and Rhett Wilburn, Ansley, Colten, Claire, Austynn, and Abel Chester, Allison Siniard, Darby Shepherd (Skylar), Cooper, and Braxton Pierce; and her numerous nieces and nephews. With room in her heart for more, Becky lovingly embraced devoted friend, Elaine Barnes, as a daughter and faithful caretaker, and Jeremy Pike, as a grandson. Special thanks to the innumerable friends who God used to add even more blessing, support, and love to her life. Special thanks especially to Mrs. Kim Landers, Ms. Norvi Gandy, and Ms. Pat Heath for their kind service and care for Becky in the last weeks of her life. Born on November 16, 1940, in Vernon, AL, and raised in Birmingham, AL, Becky attended Calvary Baptist Church where she came to know Christ as her Savior during her childhood. She attended Martin Elementary and J. H. Phillips High School in Birmingham, AL. After she and Tommy married on February 14, 1958, they traveled together as he worked for Honeywell and eventually settled in Prattville, AL, in 1967. Becky worked at Blount Equipment Yard in Montgomery, AL, as a secretary for many years. She battled ongoing health issues but would not let physical pain slow her down. Becky enjoyed being involved at her church’s activities, spending time with family, and shopping for all the latest fashions. She was an avid reader and crossword-puzzle solver. She also loved to cook - especially divinity and fudge - and to keep an immaculate house, always open to hosting visiting family and friends. She was always known for having a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She drew her strength from her faith in God, especially from the inspiration of praise and worship music. Becky was a member of Glynwood Baptist Church of Prattville. In addition to the spiritual support offered from her church family, Montgomery Cancer Center, Amedisys Hospice, and Prattville Memorial Chapel all offered kind, compassionate care as Becky transitioned from her physical struggles in this earthly life to her heavenly home and eternal joy. A celebration of life led by Rev. James Jackson and Rev. Mike Denning will be on Saturday, Oct 19, 2024 at Prattville Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am with visitation 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
