Gloria Ann Wallace

Gloria Wallace, 91, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama, following a brief illness. Surrounded by the love of her family, she entered her eternal home with the same quiet strength and grace that defined her life. Born on June 18, 1934, to John Scott and Virginia Love, Gloria was raised with deep-rooted values of faith, family, and perseverance. She carried those values with her throughout her life and passed them on to generations who were blessed to call her Mama and Mawmaw. Gloria dedicated her life to her husband of 68 years, Donald Wallace, and to raising their four children while creating a warm, welcoming home that became the heart of the neighborhood. She made everyone who entered their home feel seen, cared for, and loved. A woman of prayer and steadfast faith, Gloria lived her life as a faithful servant of God. Her prayers were constant, and her trust in the Lord never wavered. She was a beacon of faith for her family — a steady presence in times of joy and in times of hardship. Her gentle wisdom, encouraging words, and unwavering belief in God’s promises shaped the spiritual foundation of her family. To know Gloria was to love her. She found joy in simple things — family gatherings, church fellowship, and singing in the church choir. Her life was a testament to quiet faithfulness and sacrificial love. Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Wallace; two brothers, Robert Love and Bryce Love; and two sisters, Mae Love and Oacie Byrum. She is survived by her son, Scott Wallace (Suzan); and three daughters, Donna Cox (Alan), Tamara Martin (Billy), and Debbie West (Harold). She was the proud grandmother of five: Leann Anderson (John), William Martin, Donnie Martin, Shane Cox, and Lauryn Wallace (Drew). Her legacy continues through her eleven great-grandchildren: Bo Anderson, Gracey Anderson, Will Martin, Lillie Martin, Bill Martin, Piper Martin, Bryson Martin, Noah Cox, Caleb Stanley, Jaxon Mooney, and Bradley Basler. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members and dear friends who will deeply miss her loving presence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Prattville Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Janet Krantz officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial directing. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Alan Cox, Billy Martin, Shane Cox, Donnie Martin, Will Martin and William Martin. Honorary Pallbearer will be Harold West. Ninety-one years is a life richly filled with lessons, laughter, challenges, cherished memories, and, above all, love. While we feel the deep weight of her absence, we are grateful for the many years we shared — for the example she set, her beautiful laughter, and the stories that will live on in our hearts. Mama, Mawmaw, and Friend — thank you for your love. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a source of comfort and solace. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Robinson Springs Church, 5980 Main St., Millbrook, AL 36054, in memory of Gloria Wallace. A luncheon for the friends and family of Gloria Wallace will be hosted by Robinson Springs Church (5980 Main St., Millbrook) after the graveside service.
