Melanie McCain Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

McCAIN, Melanie Yarbrough, 33, a resident of Prattville, AL, affectionately known and loved as "Mel," died unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, August 6, 2004, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend John Varner officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial directing. Melanie was a graduate of Prattville High School, Class of 1989, and a loving mother and wife. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Johnnie S. Collier, Sr. and Ruby M. Collier, James Sidney "Gran" Yarbrough, Sr., and father-in-law, Baker Austin. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Steve McCain, Jr.; two daughters, Sydney and Lindsay McCain; her loving parents, Jimmy and Linda Yarbrough; one sister, Sheri Denise Yarbrough; paternal grandmother, Juanita "Granny" Yarbrough; mother-in-law, Sue Austin, all of Prattville, AL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Steve and Karen McCain, Sr., Montgomery, AL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Kelly Dodd, Mike Fry, Frank Carlton, Chip Sergeant, Brannon Rucker, Mark Thompson, Mike Davenport and Jason Copeland. Honorary pallbearers will be Ty Thompson, Todd Thompson, Richard Pittman, Joey Holley, David McLain, Shan McLain, Uden Rhodes, Gary Cranmore and Stan Edwards. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Monday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
