VICKI JANE MELTON

Melton, Vicki Jane, 62, a resident of Millbrook, Alabama died Thursday, February 02, 2012. She was a devoted mother and wife to her family and a friend to who will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Flo Ackerman and a sister Carolyn Ruth Hensley. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, James Melton; two sons, Aaron Melton, Nathan Melton; and one sister Debra Lee-Ann Houge. The family will have private services at a later date.

I am proud to call Vicki Melton a sister in Christ and a dear friend. I will miss her very much. She and I were closer than any sisters could be. Vicki was a friend who always "told you like it was" and not what one wanted to hear. I respect people who are true to themselves and don't try to put on a front in front of others. I am going to miss the good times we shared together and the laughs. God needed an angel - that angel was Vicki Melton. Tina McCullers

Vicki was my Sister and I loved her very much. The distance keep us from seeing each other as much as I would have liked. One of my Memories of Vicki that she could cook really good. She taught me how to cook several things.She Loved her Husband and Son's more than anything > She was a very devoted wife and Mother.I loved at Christmas to get a card or present from her . I would run in and tell my Husband , I was so excited.Her Son said she had a Heart of Gold and she did. I love you my precious Sister, I will see you again someday. You are in Heaven with MOM,Dad,Carol tell them Hi for me. I am so Sorry I did not come there to tell you bye ,but I respected your family's Wishes. You had so many wanting to come Just to let you know you where loved by a lot of people. I love you Your Little Sister !!!!!You will never be forgotten !!!!
