Dear Jim, I just learned of your beloved Sara's passing this morning through the Anchorage Daily News. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We were so blessed to have you and Sara as our across-the-street neighbors for so many years. You were always the most special people and so kind to the boys and me. I hope your faith and your wonderful memories of Sara sustain you in the days ahead. God bless you and your family, Sally Cox, Matthew and Nathaniel

I too just read of Sara's passing on Christmas in our local paper. It is sad news. Sara was a vibrant and valuable person in so many ways when she and Jim lived in Alaska. Sarah always had so much to give because she cared so much for and about others. Sara and I worked together on the Alaskan of the Year committee for many years together. Sara was knowledgeable of Alaska and Alaskans that have helped to grow the 49th state. Sara is a part of Alaska, and Alaska lost one of our own with her passing. Sara meant so much to so many and we want Jim and family to know prayers from Alaska are with you.

We were so sorry to hear about Sara. She was such a delight to know. We will miss her great smile. She always took time to stop and talk to us. James, if there is anything we can do for you please let us know. You and your family will be in our prayers and thoughts. We will be seeing you at Jim's or Cracker Barrel. Much love.
