MARY YOUNG MYERS
MYERS, Mary Young, 93, a resident of Prattville, Alabama,
formerly of Marion, Alabama, died on Monday, October 3, 2011.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at
11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Reverend Ed
Henne officiating. Burial will follow in
PrattvilleMemoryGardenswith Prattville Memorial Chapel
directing. Mrs. Myers was a beloved wife, mother,
grandmother, and friend who was deeply loved and will be dearly
missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melton Myers,
Sr.; parents, Dr. James Edward and Lillian Whetstone Young; two
sisters, Edna Simmons, and Margaret Walker; and one brother, James
Young. She is survived by one son, Melton (Gayle) Myers, Jr.; one
daughter, Margaret Myers (Russ) Gunton; five grandchildren, Scott
Myers, Kathy (Jimmy) Pruett, Marty (Ron) Pinckard, Mary (Chris)
Skipper, and Michelle (Matt) Swofford; and numerous other extended
family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Scott Myers, Jimmy
Pruett, Matt Swofford, Chris Skipper, Ron Pinckard, and Cole
Lipscomb. The family will receive friends at Prattville
Memorial on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. In
lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to First United
Methodist Church of Prattville Building Fund, 100 East
4th St.,Prattville,AL,36067.
