Ledbetter, Dalton Paul, 60, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 2:00 pm from Prattville Memorial Chapel with Reverend Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Ledbetter was preceded in death by his wife, Jimi Lou Ledbetter and his father, Paul Ledbetter. He is survived by his daughter, Krystal Ledbetter; his mother, Edith Ledbetter; three brothers, Steve Ledbetter, Jerry Ledbetter, Frank Ledbetter; brothers-in-law, John Guthrie, Billy Guthrie, Joe Guthrie and Jimmy Gothard; two aunts, Leora Smith, Rosie Browning; two uncles, Dalton Moncrief, Boland Moncrief; three nephews, Jeremy Ledbetter, Christopher Ledbetter, Adam Ledbetter and one great nephew, Cameron Metcalf. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

The grief that is felt when we lose a loved one may seem unbearable. At such times, we can go to God's word for comfort. God too feels hurt when an individual dies. That is why the encouragement found at Revelation 21:4 assure us that "He will remove sorrow and death will be no more." According to this scripture, there will come a time when those we have lost in death will be brought back by means of a resurrection by the Almighty God. May the family find the comfort that God makes available to all persons.
