I am so sorry to hear that my great uncle Alton has passed. It is so hard to see our love ones go but he is in a much better place now,no suffering or pain.Y'all are in my thoughts and prayers and God Bless your family and may he guide you through this loss. Love Ashley Hux and Family "Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first." 1Thessalonians 4:13-16

To Alton's children and grandchildren: I know you will miss your Dad and granddad very much, and my prayer is that God will provide you the peace and comfort you need in the days ahead. Alton was one of a kind! I enjoyed working with him at the mill and visiting with him around town after he retired.

I began working for Alton at Union Camp in 1985. He taught me how to be an independent thinker, employee, and to always be sure my work was accurate. I used to enjoy when he would come in our office and sit and tell us stories. He was tough but I learned that he was really doing it for our own good. Because of him I truly know how to do my accounting work as it should be done. I am sorry I did not know of his illness, I had seen him several times over the last few years and he always had news of our old crowd at the Mill. It truly saddened me to learn of his passing and I hope you will accept my deepest sympathy on your loss. Alton will always be a part of my happy memories of my days working at Union Camp. I will keep your family in my prayers.
